Lutts demolish Forest in 11 a side challenge

Lutterworth Colts were awarded 2 points for a win when Leicester Forest were unable to raise a team for there Colts League encounter. League rules dictate that the score is recorded as a 0-0 win to Lutterworth.  However both teams agreed to play in an 11 a side challenge, to give all the lads a game and Lutterworth ran out convincing 48-0 winners.

In a one way match Robin Eager grabbed an excellent hat trick, Andrew Pridding narrowly missed out on a hat trick himself as he bagged two tries, while Luke Evans, Aaron Dann and Joe Sullivan all grabbed a try apiece. The successful conversions came from Eager (2), Evans (1) and Joe Walker (1). The try of the game came as Eager scored his first. Brilliant hands saw the ball swiftly moved from one wing to the other before Eager took the final pass at speed, breaking down the wing, to score in the corner.

Head Coach Dave Johnson commented “it was really disappointing that Forest were unable to field a full side, but at least we were able to give the lads a run out in this friendly. It was no more than a training match but at least we were able to practice finishing off some quality tries”.  

Lutterworth Colts welcome Coalville to Ashby Lane next Saturday for the next league game (kick off 3.00 PM).
