Under 17  Match Report

Sunday 4th November 2007

Lutterworth  70pts   v  Leicester Forest   0pts

Lutterworth under 17’s were without a game this Sunday so were grateful to a hastily arranged friendly with Leicester Forest.

It was always going to be tough for Forest and so it proved as Lutts dominated the first half with 7 unanswered tries through Liam Healy, Tris Crawshaw, Andrew Pridding, Ashley Parrott, Joe Sullivan, Miles Lowry and Joe Burnham. Try of the half came from some great individual play by Crawshaw as he received the ball on half way. He made a lovely mazy run, beating five players before touching down. Four conversions by Luke Ball made it 43-0 to the visitors at half time.

It was more of the same in the 2nd half as five more tries were scored through Parrott (2 and completing his hat trick), Ball (2) and Pridding. Try of the half came as Ball chased a James Lloyd box kick, won the race and touched down in the corner. A conversion by Jack Edwards made it 70-0 at the close and made it 10 wins from 10 games this season.

Head Coach Chris Everard said “Thank you to the players and coaches at Leicester Forest. They are using this season as a year of development for their squad and despite knowing the probable outcome, were happy to take this game at short notice. It was testimony to heart in this Forest side that they kept going, despite the scorline”

Next Sunday 1st and 2nd in the under 17’s League face each other, as top of the table Lutterworth play Vipers (11.00 AM kick off at Vipers).
