With Ashby Road again suffering from fixture congestion Leicester Lions kindly agreed to our request to move the fixture to Westleigh Park for the first meeting at this age group for a couple of years.

Lutterworth began the game with a somewhat experimental line-up however in bright sunshine and without a hint of the strong winds which have been so disruptive over recent weeks Lutterworth continued their impressive form and were soon ahead in the game with Sam Webb crossing the line for the first score. A good all round performance by the boys in the first half led to further tries by Ollie Allen playing in an unfamiliar role at outside centre and Jamie Jameson scoring in the corner on one wing followed by Tim Dann scoring the final try of the first half finishing off a long flowing move on the opposite wing. Only one of the first half tries was converted by Tom Bingley to give a first half score of Leicester Lions 0 Lutterworth 22,

At half time wholesale changes were made to the pack but the general tone of the game remained the same with Lutterworth scoring 4 more tries with one each for Jimmy Gamble, Ben Gledhill, Dan Shivas and Rob Charlton, two of which were converted by Jimmy Gamble to give a final score of Leicester Lions 0 Lutterworth 46.

It was pleasing to see the strength and depth of the squad with Kieran Smith having an excellent game at scrumhalf, Dan Shivas moving the ball well at 10 in what was a
