Under 15 Match Report
SUNDAY 29th October 2006
Lutterworth 12pts V Woodrush 12pts
Woodrush kick off and put early pressure on to the Lutterworth defence as they cannot clear the ball. Good defence takes Lutterworth into the Woodrush half where fly half Leo Sollit attempts a break but is tackled and Woodrush steal the ball and take play up to the Lutterworth 10 yard line where they give away a penalty. Lutterworths scrum half Beau Green taps and goes and after a 20 yard break he passes inside to flanker Sam Weatherall who breaks through the Woodrush defence and goes around the full back to touch down under the posts. Uldis Krievs converts to increase the lead further. Woodrush though are spurred on by this and take the game into the Lutterworth 22 and from a set scrum 10 yards out the no8 picks up and crashes over and coverts to level the scores.
Half Time Lutterworth 7 Woodrush 7
Lutterworth kick off the second half and are soon under pressure from the Woodrush offensive, but full back Dan Jackson picks up the kick through and takes the ball to the half way. Its a very even end to end half. From a Lutterworth maul Jarrad Carter breaks forward, sets up a maul and then when Lutterworth recycle the ball again Jarrad Carter breaks down the blindside, passing outside to no8 Chris Gutteridge who sprints down the line to touch down in the corner. Uldis Krievs misses the conversion from wide to give Lutterworth a slender 5 point lead. Woodrush though will not give up and from a penalty kick into the Lutterworth 22 and line out they throw to the front and drive down the line to touch down in the corner and level the scores. They miss the conversion from wide out to leave the scores level.
