Oadby kick off to the Lutterworth 22 yard line where the ball is taken by the Lutterworth forward who drive back to the half way line and from the set scrum Lutterworth winger Josh Shevas tries to break down the blinside but is tackled and Oadby win the ball and pass it across the backs and are held up eventually just inside the Lutterworth 22 by some great defensive work, but Oadby recycle the ball ruck and again pass across the backs, where the full back comes into the line to make the overlap and Oadby score in the corner, the full back converts for a 7-0 lead.

Lutterworth try to get straight back into the game and good breaks from Sam Weatherall and Alex Head are followed up by some good ball retention in the rucks and mauls from Jarrad Carter and Harry Gregory, but eventually Oadby get possession and kick clear to the half way line. Oadby get back on the attack and in a swift move they kick deep into the Lutterworth22 and when full back Dan Jackson is tackled Oadby drive in and win back the ball and the forwards move the ball quickly and dive over to score again.  Lutterworth again take the ball deep into the Oadby half and when John Harman tackles and rips the ball away he passes to No. 8 Chris Gutteridge who darts down the blindside but the Oadby defence cover across and force the ball out for a lineout.

Oadby again attack with pace and confidence from forwards and backs and recycling the ball from rucks they again create an overlap and score again, this time converting to increase their lead further.With Lutterworth hanging on for the half time break again Oadby kick from their 22 and then win the chase to kick on and touch down in the corner.

The second half quickly follows the same pattern as the first half with good breaks from Lutterworth countered by good Oadby defence who then attack with more purpose and run in three further tries with no reply to progress comfortably into the final.
