Under 14 Match Report
SUNDAY 15th October 2006
Earlsdon 20pts V Lutterworth 0pts
Earlsdon kick off
on a mild clear morning into a very slight breeze Clay Hancock takes the
ball and drives Lutterworth back to the half way line where a knock on gives
Earlsdon the chance to attack form a set scrum and they take the ball to the
Lutterworth 22 where Uldis Krievs kicks clear for Lutterworth. Earsldon keep
the pressure on the Lutterworth defence and from a set scrum 5 yards out the
no.8 picked up from the back of the scrum and dived over to open the scores
missed conversion to take a 5 ponit lead. Lutterworth respond to the set
back and some good forard play takes them deep into the Earlsdon half where
both wingers Simon Sandercock and Josh Shevas are are stopped on the 10 yard
line by some great Earlsdon defence. Earlsdon get possesion on the half way
and kick over the defence and Lutterworth full back Dan Jackson takes the
catch and sets the ball up for the forwards on the Earlsdon 10 yard line.
For all the pressure Lutterworth can not break
through the Earlsdon defence and Earlsdon go int the half time break with a
slender 5-0 lead.
Half Time Earlsdon 5 Lutterworth 0
Lutterworth kick off the second half looking to try and get back into the
game, but it is Earlsdon who are getting the ball accross the backs and with
the forwards recycling the ball the early pressure is all on Lutterworth and
from a line out a Earlsdon forward picks up the knock back and when the ball
is passed accross the backs there is just enough romm for the winger to
touch down in the corner. From the restart Earlsdon crash through the
Lutterworth defence and are only just stopped at the Lutterworth 10 yard
line but the forwards pick up quick ball and crash over. When again Earlsdon
score from the restart the game looks lost for Lutterworth and whilst they
battle to the end mostly in the Earlsdon half they can not break through the
Earlsdon defence and the home team run out comfortable winners.
