Aylestone St James 5pts  v  Lutterworth  19pts 

Lutterworth get the better of the early forward exchanges and take the ball upto the Aylestone St James 22 yard line where flanker Alex Head tries to break through the defence but is held up and Aylestone St James clear the ball. Lutterworth come back on the attack and get the ball accross the backs and win a scrum 10 yards from the Aylestone St James line and centre Uldis Krievs breaks through the defence on the blindside to score in the corner, he tries to convert but just misses.

Lutterworth keep up the pressure but can not increase the lead further and go in at half time with a slender lead.

Aylestone St James kick of the second half and from the kick Lutterworth no.8 Chris Gutteridge takes the ball and sets off on a run he sprints around the oncoming forwards hands off the full backs and runs in under the posts to give Lutterworth the ideal start to the second half. Jack Tranter converts to increase the lead further. Aylestone St James attempt to get back in the game and from a Lutterworth scrum in the Aylestone St James half they steal the ball and pass down the blindside, the winger then kicks in field and wins the race for the ball to touch down next to the posts.

Lutterworth respond and after a number of attacking scrums in the Aylestone St James 10 yard area eventually they get their reward when no.8 Chris Gutteridge takes the ball at the back of the scrum and crashes through the defence to score next to the posts, Jack Tranter converts to seal a good win for Lutterworth
