Lutterworth 17pts V Old Northamptonians 12pts
Old Northants kick off on a lovely sunny autumn morning and Lutterworth take the ball cleanly and good forward play takes them into the Old Northants half where Old Northants get a scrum.The forwards set up good ball and when the backs pass wide they set up an overlap and score in the Lutterworth corner, missed conversion.
Old Northants put more pressure on, passing the ball across the backs from another set scrum but good tackling from the Lutterworth backs keep them just inside the Lutts 22. They knock on and from the scrum Lutterworth surge forward rucking and mauling and when Sam Huckerby breaks away 15 yards out he hands off the Old Northants defence to touch down and level the scores. Uldis Krievs converts to give Lutterworth a two point lead.
Lutterworth are encouraged by their score and put together some good forward play with Sam Weatherall and Sam Huckerby both held up after good breaks and from a set scrum 10 yards out No. 8 Chris Gutteridge picks up from the back of the scrum and runs across field braking through the Old Northants defence to score, Uldis Krievs misses conversion from wide.

Lutterworth kick off the second half and are soon deep inside Old Northants half. Jarrad Carter tries to break through the Old Northants defence but is held up 5 yards short and Old Northants turn over the ball and clear the danger. Back come Lutterworth and from a set scrum in the Old Northant 22 Sam Huckerby breaks through the defence to score and Uldis Krievs converts to increase the lead.
Old Northants though come back at Lutterworth and are putting some excellent interplay together and when they break from a maul they get through the Lutterworth defence to score and with the conversion reduce the lead to 5 points. Lutterworth though keep the play in the Old Northants half and to hold onto the slender lead.
