After a serious drubbing last season at Nuneaton the boys turned in what was one of their best displays. The forwards were very good in the set piece and provided a solid platform for the backs to run at the opposition. Robin Eager at centre put in a wonderful display both in attack and defence. Aaron Dann put in at scrum half due to injury hounded and harried their scrum half and denied them any real opportunity to break out as well as putting some really good hits on their back row when they used the forwards.

Our only try was scored by Tom Goldsworthy in the second half when the centres provided him with a bit of space and he quickly rounded the winger and full back to score. Robin Eager then slotted the conversion. After sustained pressure from our forwards we won a penalty about 3 mins from time which Robin nervelessly converted to complete a very satisfying victory.
