In a gale force wind and torrential rain Lutterworth captain for the day Chris Gutteridge won the toss and elected to play into the wind.

Lutterworth forwards put early pressure on deep in the  Banbury half this eventually paid of with Sam Huckerby breaking from a maul to open the score. Jack Tranter converted the try to give Lutterworth a 7-0 lead. Another break from a well-controlled maul led to Sam Huckerby bursting over for Lutterworths second try, converted this time by Jamie Milner.
Before the break Sam Huckerby again dived over this time in the corner to make it 3 tries to nil, conversion from a difficult angle by Chris Gutteridge hit the post and missed.

It was pretty much one way traffic now and further tries from Beau Green, Jake Watts
and another by Sam Huckerby, 2 converted and one missed by Jack Tranter and with a late consolation try by Banbury, Lutterworth ran out comfortable winners.
