Preston Grasshoppers 12pts v Lutterworth  12pts 

Lutterworths Jack Tranter kicks off into a very brisk wind and the forwards keep the pressure in the Preston half.    Early breaks by centres Uldis Krievs and Jordan Tebb are kept out by a well drilled Preston defence and Preston break into the Lutterworth half only for fly half JackTranter to clear.  With the wind against Lutterworth find it difficult to clear the ball from defence and sustained pressure form Preston leads to the ball being passed across the backs and with an overlap they score in the corner, missing the conversion from wide. Lutterworth kick off but Preston buoyed by their score are soon deep in the Lutterworth half but excellent defence Keeps them out. With half time looming Preston backs break down the middle and score under the posts and convert the try to increase their lead.

Preston kick off the second half now playing into the wind and the ball is taken by Sam Weatherall. Lutterworth work their way with excellent forward work taking Lutterworth into the Preston half and when Adam Fisher gets the ball to  the backs the ball is worked to winger Josh Sheavas who is tackled into touch on the Preston 22 yard line. This gives Lutterworth the confidence they needed and they keep the pressure in the Preston half.  From a line out John Harman throws in and Sam Huckerby knocks the ball to fly half Jack Tranter and Lutterworth pass the ball across the field where centre Uldis Krievs cuts inside to dive over and cut the Preston lead. Harry Gregory just misses the conversion from out wide. This increases Lutterworths confidence further and with the wind behind them they keep play deep in the Preston half, but good defence from Preston keeps them out.  Finally though Lutterworth again get the ball across the backs and full back Jamieson Hodges comes into the line and cuts inside to score under the posts and Jack Tranter converts to level the scores. With time running out Lutterworth keep the pressure on but can not break through for the decisive score.
