South Leicester 27pts v Lutterworth  10pts  old on Avon

South Leicester kicked off and when the kick did not go 10yards Lutterworth took the scrum on the half way line. South Leicester took the scrum against the head and the forwards and backs took play to the Lutterworth 22, but from the maul Lutterworths Adam Fisher kicked up to the halfway to clear the danger. This woke Lutterworth up and they put some pressure on South Leicester and breaks from centres Jordan Tebb and Uldis Krievs  where cleared by South Leicester. South Leicester then pushed into the Lutterworth 22 and from the maul Lutterworths Sam Weatherall ripped the ball away and sprinted across field and to the half way line, when he was only half tackled by the full back he sprinted down the line to score in the corner. Chris Gutteridge narrowly missed the conversion from the side line. Lutterworth kept up the good pressure and when winger Josh Shevas cut inside to take the ball deep into the South Leicester 22, from the maul Jarrad Carter broke through the South Leicester defence to score, Jack Tranter narrowly missed the conversion from wide on the left. With half time approaching Lutterworth lost the ball just inside their own half and South Leicester kicked on and from the maul dived over in the corner to score, conversion missed.

Lutterworth kicked off the second half and put early pressure on South Leicester but they quickly took the initiative passing and mauling through 4 - 5 phases to score in the Lutterworth corner, conversion missed. Back came Lutterworth pressing deep into the South Leicester half but a number of handling errors across the backs and knock on`s among the forwards kept giving South Leicester the opportunities to clear the danger. When South Leicester did get into the Lutterworth 22 they punished the earlier errors by passing the ball across their backs and scoring again in the corner, conversion missed. Lutterworth could not break through the South Leicester defence and with time running out South Leicester scored again to run out comfortable winners.
