Lutterworth under 17s High Scoring Victory at Home

Lutterworth under 17s put in one of their best ever performances to secure a dramatic 53-0 victory over Leamington at the weekend.

On a windswept pitch Lutterworth forwards dominated early play, the first try was scored by Chris Stanley, Tom Holman scored the second from the back of a driving maul, converted by Mick Brightmore, then a breakaway try through the middle scored by Grant Nolan, again converted by Brightmore. The fourth try was scored by a combination of Tom Holman & Dan Wesley, with Wes driving Tom over the line and finally touching down. Score 24-0 to Lutterworth at half time.

Second half started well with some long looping play by the backs, Charlie Lee touching down in the corner. Matt Lund-Yates scored the next try with a rampaging run up the centre of the field to score under the posts. Scott Ward scored next again with a run up the centre of the field, converted by Mick Brightmore. Pete Bouchard made a lighting break up the left wing to set up Chris Stanley for his second try. The final try was scored by Grant Nolan under the posts again converted by Brightmore.

A fantastic result, with great commitment shown by all Lutterworth players a well deserved high scoring victory.  Tries were scored by Chris Stanley (2), Tom Holman, Grant Nolan (2), Dan Wesley, Charlie Lee, Matt Lund-Yates, and Scott Ward with 4 conversions by Mick Brightmore.
