Under 17 Match Report
SUNDAY 5th October 2003
Syston 22pts V Lutterworth 17pts
In what was always going to be a tough game, Lutterworth managed to take an early lead through a try scored by Grant Nolan. Syston responded with two breakaway tries, both converted and a penalty to give them a lead of 5 points to 17 at half time.
In the second half Lutterworth really came out determined to win some ball, the forwards won nearly all the set piece play, with a try being scored by Tom Holman from a No. 8 pickup move, converted by Sam Brookes, with a further try being scored by Richard Eggleston playing as Fullback to bring the score to 17 all.
There was then a very tense period in the game and it looked as it the final result would be a draw, unfortunately, right at the end, Syston managed another breakway try to win the game 17 points to 22.
