Under 13 Match Report
SUNDAY 7th December 2003
Lutterworth 48 pts V Vipers 0pts
On Sunday Lutterworth under 13’s extended their unbeaten run to 10 games, with a 48-0 home thrashing of Vipers.
A great backs move led to Will Keeling opening the scoring, finishing off with a great run to touch down. He then converted his own try. Minutes later Lutts pilled on the pressure close to the Vipers line and Ashley Parrott picked up and drove over, to stretch the lead. Vipers upped their game, with out actually threatening the Lutts line, but were disappointed when they went further behind to a Matt Everard try. The ball was taken on by Tristan Crawshaw to Dan Holmes and then a great pick up and drive from Everard made it 17-0 at half time.
Eveard scored his 2nd try at the beginning of the second half as he once again picked up and drove over, to see off any chance of a Vipers revival. The try of the match came from Greg Littlewood who received the ball on the half way line after five sets of hands had moved it on to him. He then beat 6 players in a superb run down the wing and touched down under the posts. He inevitably scored the conversion.
The ball lived in the Vipers half as Lutts kept on the pressure. Everard scored his hat trick as he picked up 5 metres out to once again drive over, with Littlewood converting. The next try started with a Lutts scrum, which was quickly moved along the line to Will Keeling, who out sprinted half the back line to touch down.
With seconds remaining Lutts took a clever quick line out to wrong foot the Vipers defence. Peter Rowe and Everard moved the ball forward between them and then the latter got close enough to score his well deserved 4th try, which was once again converted by Littlewood.
Another fantastic win by Lutterworth under 13’s.
