Old Laurentians 3rds 40pts v Lutterworth 3rd XV 0pts
After last weeks romp the 3rds found themselves up against a very strong team from two divisions above and one having a mix of 2nd & 3rd team players.
Although outplayed throughout by a well drilled O'Ls side the team competed well and for long periods of the game held their own against powerful opposition. Three tries late in the game scored against a weary Lutts defence gave the final scoreline an unbalanced look which did not truly reflect the contribution Lutts made to a hard fought game.
Nevertheless O'Ls ran out worthy winners but Lutts can take heart from a committed performance against the sort of opposition they are unlikely to face again for some time.
