Rushden & Higham 2nd XV 14pts v Lutterworth 2nd XV 33pts
A much improved performance saw the seconds back on the winning trail. In the first half Lutts were rarely troubled in defence and good forward play resulted in tries for Spencer Lambert, Simon Donovan and, man of the match, Ian Jones, with Simon Donovan converting all three. In the second half it was the threequarters turn to shine with Kev Jones inspirational at fly-half and good running led to scores for Giles Carter and Bobby Williams with Donovan coverting one. With five minutes to go Lutts went to sleep and allowed Rushden to score two soft tries , both of which were converted
