Peterborough 2nd XV 29pts v Lutterworth 2nd XV 5pts
The 2nd team complemented the disaster of the first team result by, firstly leaving the jerseys at home and having to play in the oppositions “away” strip and secondly by only having 14 players arrive at there destination. Having started the game with 14 men Lutts were soon down to 13 when fly-half, Bobby Williams, aggravated a torn ham-string. Thereafter the result was never in doubt but in the end Lutts took more from the score line than did Peterborough. A good, gutsy performance by the 13 that finished the game
